The company's history goes back to 2016, when Luciano decided to take care of old sheet metal not only privately but also professionally. In typical Swiss fashion, he set up a sole proprietorship, but remained employed by 100% for several years so that the expensive undertaking could be financed without major risk. A classic car needs a covered and lockable place - and this is very much in demand and very expensive in Switzerland.

It was a slow start, but with every turn of the screw and every vehicle sold, both the enthusiasm and the know-how about classic and vintage cars and the associated market grew. As with all self-employed people, mistakes had to be learned from and all obstacles had to be cleared out of the way.

The portfolio of vehicles grew with the offer of commissioned sales. As the market became more difficult and the sale more complex, the classic car owners no longer wanted the enormous effort involved in selling. Gradually, the required space became larger and eventually an entire hall was needed. The mechanical work also became more and more complex as the range grew, which is why many vehicles had to be serviced in an external and better-equipped workshop.

Nino - a gifted mechanic who put his heart and soul into his work - was mainly responsible for maintaining Luciano's vehicles in the external workshop, which has been operating as „Luciano's Classics“ and now as a limited company since 2020.

One day, Nino asked Luciano what he actually does and where all the vehicles come from. Over a simple pizza in the nearest kebab shop, the two of them had a decent petrol conversation and speculated about the possibility of working together and also setting up the much-needed proper classic car workshop with Nino as backup. 

That same year, Nino quit his job and, together with Luciano, bought tools and machines, overhauled them when necessary and installed them in the small workshop. Now the two of them could really get going and offer more and more services as a proper classic car workshop. The workshop grew with the customer base and soon more staff were needed.

Today, Nino is co-owner of the company, which has been called „LUNI Classic Cars“ since the end of 2025 - a combination of the first letters of the names Luciano and Nino. Together, they are now tackling the rocky road that comes with the business of old luxury vehicles, delivering services with passion and a level of customer proximity that is rarely found today.
