Goldie ist eine wundersch\u00f6ne Corvette C3 aus dem Hause Chevrolet mit Jahrgang 1971. Geboren wurde sie, wie alle 71er Corvettes, in St. Louis im US-Bundesstaat Missouri. Unter der langen Haube der wohlgeformten und bis heute unverwechselbaren Glasfaser-Karosse wurde dort ein dicker 454er LS5-Motor verbaut und mit einem 4-Gang-Schaltgetriebe verbunden. Beide sind heute noch in identischer Form im Wagen zu finden. Optisch abgerundet wurde das sportliche Kraftpaket mit der Aussenfarbe 989 \u00abWar Bonnet Yellow\u00bb und dem Interieur in 420 \u00abSaddle Leather\u00bb.<\/p>

Goldie war keine Standard-C3, sondern eine golden schimmernde Sportwagen-Ikone mit BigBlock, Burnout-Garantie und Handschaltung, die gesehen werden wollte. Das Ziel war klar: L.A – die rostfreie Stadt der Stars und Million\u00e4re, wo sie auch den Titel \u00abCalifornia Car\u00bb abstauben konnte.<\/p>

Nachdem sie \u00fcber vier Jahrzehnte lang den stolzen Besitzern und Anwohnern mit ihren scharfen Kurven und dem Wahnsinns-Sound die K\u00f6pfe verdreht hatte, war es Zeit f\u00fcr ein neues Kapitel. Das Alter hinterl\u00e4sst eben \u00fcberall seine Spuren: Die Gummis waren hin\u00fcber, die Elektrik marode, die Bremsen nicht mehr das Wahre und rundum zeigten sich Kampfspuren an der goldenen Karosserie.<\/p>

Das neue Kapitel in ihrem Leben wurde von einem Schweizer geschrieben. 2018 holte er Goldie aus Los Angeles in die Schweiz, wo er sie \u00fcber 5 Jahre restaurierte. Neue Kabel, neue Bremsanlage, neue Leitungen, neue Dichtungen, neues Interieur, neue Dreipunktgurte, ein komplett neues Interieur, ein aufwendiger Lackaufbau in Originalfarbe und in Schweizer Qualit\u00e4t und vieles mehr. Der Wagen besteht nun zu 80% aus Neuteilen und entsprechende Belege im sechsstelligen Bereich sind vorhanden.<\/p>

Nun darf Goldie sich auf einen neuen Besitzer freuen, der sie pflegt, sch\u00e4tzt und anst\u00e4ndig wartet. Daf\u00fcr revanchiert sie sich mit einem neuwertigen Zustand, Leistung ohne Ende, hammerm\u00e4ssigem Sound und nat\u00fcrlich mit unvergleichbarer Fahrfreude.<\/p>

Die C3 wurde im Herbst 1967 eingef\u00fchrt und bis zum Herbst 1982 gebaut. Sie wurde von 1969 bis 1976 auch Stingray genannt, was auch als Schriftzug an den Flanken der Karosserie gezeigt wurde. Der 68er Jahrgang hatte keine Stingray-Embleme und man munkelt, dass die Mannschaft schlicht vergessen hatte, die Embleme zu bestellen.<\/p>

Die C3 wurde innen und aussen komplett neu designt und erinnert bis auf die R\u00fcckleuchten kaum an das Vorg\u00e4ngermodell. Die Motoren allerdings wurden mehr oder weniger von der C2 \u00fcbernommen. Durch das auff\u00e4llige Karosseriedesign ging die C3 als \u201eCoke-Bottle-Corvette\u201c in die Autogeschichte ein, da ihr Seitenprofil dem einer Coca-Cola-Flasche \u00e4hnlich sah. Das Design ist stark an das Konzeptauto Mako-Shark-II Show-Car von angelehnt, welches Corvette-Designchef Bill Mitchell, Larry Shinoda und Zara Arkus-Duntov zwei Jahre zuvor entworfen hatten. Zugunsten der Aerodynamik hat Mitchell der C3 Schlafaugen verpasst, die nicht mehr elektrisch, sondern pneumatisch ausgefahren wurden. Die Corvette C3 wirkt optisch deutlich massiver als ihre Vorg\u00e4nger. Die Karosserie war 190 mm l\u00e4nger und damit auf 4.64 Meter gewachsen. Die H\u00f6he war daf\u00fcr 50 mm niedriger als bei der C2.<\/p>

Erstmals in der Autogeschichte wurden die Coupes mit zwei herausnehmbaren Dachh\u00e4lften ausgestattet, nach deren Herausnahme ein Mittelsteg verblieb, das auch \u201eT-Bar-Roof\u201c oder \u201eT-Top\u201c genannt wurde. Sogar die senkrecht stehende Heckscheibe konnte bei den Modellen der ersten f\u00fcnf Produktionsjahre entfernt werden. Sie blieb als Stilmerkmal bis 1977 erhalten, ab 1978 erhielt die Corvette im Rahmen einer gr\u00f6sseren Modellpflege ein Fastback-Heck mit einer grossen Glaskuppel hinter der B-S\u00e4ule.<\/p>

Die Sicherheitsdiskussion Mitte der 1970er-Jahre f\u00fchrte zu hektischen \u00c4nderungen an den Stossstangen: Das 73er-Modell beispielsweise trug eine Mischung aus in Wagenfarbe lackierten Kunststoff-Stossf\u00e4ngern vorne und klassischen Chrom-Exemplaren hinten. Das Cabriolet wurde aufgrund verst\u00e4rkter Sicherheitsbestimmungen in den USA nur bis Ende 1975 angeboten, danach verschwand es aus dem Programm. Bis zur Einstellung der Produktion im Oktober 1982 war nur noch das Coup\u00e9 erh\u00e4ltlich.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t
