Der schwarze Streifen in der Mitte ist foliert und kann auf Wunsch restlos entfernt werden.<\/p>

Die Chevrolet Corvette C2 wurde im Sommer 1962 als Sting Ray (anders als bei der C3 mit Leerzeichen geschrieben) vorgestellt. Zum ersten Mal gab es die Corvette auch als Coup\u00e9, was den Absatz verdoppelte, da der Wagen nun auch im Norden F\u00fcrsprecher fand. Der 327er V8-Motor wurde anfangs vom C1 \u00fcbernommen. Der Smallblock leistete in der C2 zwischen 250 und 375 PS. Mitte des Jahres 1965 wurde der 396er Bigblock mit satten 425 PS eingef\u00fchrt. Ab 1966 wurde der grosse Block auf 7.0 Liter aufgebohrt und lieferte damit ordentliche 450 PS.<\/p>

Eine der Neuheiten waren die Drehscheinwerfer, die bis zur C5 als Klappscheinwerfer regelm\u00e4\u00dfig wiederkehren sollten. Das geteilte Heckfenster des 1963er Coup\u00e9s verlieh dieser auf das Jahr 63 beschr\u00e4nkten C2 den bekannten Namen \u201eSplit Window\u201c. W\u00e4hrend das Heck von der letzten Corvette C1 teilweise \u00fcbernommen wurde, wurde die restliche Karosserie g\u00e4nzlich neu gestaltet. Die ausgepr\u00e4gte Keilform von Front- und Heckpartie ist charakteristisch f\u00fcr die so genannten Midyear-Modelle. Die Klappscheinwerfer und der markante seitliche Karosserieknick auf H\u00f6he der Radh\u00e4user betonen die wundersch\u00f6nen Konturen des Wagens.<\/p>

An der Hinterachse kam erstmals eine Einzelradaufh\u00e4ngung zum Einsatz und ab 1965 war die Corvette sogar mit Scheibenbremsen samt 4-Kolben-S\u00e4tteln an Vorder- und Hinterachse ausger\u00fcstet. 1967 deb\u00fctierte die Zweikreis-Bremsanlage und gegen Aufpreis gab es nun auch eine Klimaanlage und Ledersitze.<\/p>

Gebaut wurde die Corvette C2 Sting Ray nur von September 1962 bis Juli 1967. Es wurden insgesamt 117\u2019964 St\u00fcck hergestellt, darunter 45\u2019546 Coup\u00e9s. Bereits im Herbst 1967 erschien der Nachfolger als C3.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t
