Dieser 1930er Ford Model A wurde in den letzten Jahren komplett in der Schweiz um- und aufgebaut. Die H\u00fctte wurde vom Chassis getrennt und bis aufs Blech abgelaugt, damit anschliessend das Dach gechoppt und die Lackierung rundum aufgetragen werden konnte. Die Technik wurde auf 12 Volt umger\u00fcstet und die Anzeigen f\u00fcr Temperatur und Batteriespannung ersetzt. Dazu kamen noch neue Scheinwerfer, eine elektronische Z\u00fcndung, eine neue Lichtmaschine, ein neuer K\u00fchler und eine revidierte Wasserpumpe. Holzboden und T\u00fcrpanele wurden ebenfalls ersetzt und damit das ganze auch ordentlich dasteht, wurde die Vorderachse etwas tiefergelegt.<\/p>\n

Um die 40 PS zu z\u00fcgeln, wurde die gesamte Bremsanlage revidiert: Die Bremstrommeln wurden ausgedreht, neue Bremsbel\u00e4ge und -zylinder wurden montiert und neue Bremskabel verlegt. Dazu wurde der Hotrod mit neuen R\u00e4dern und Reifen best\u00fcckt.<\/p>\n

Nach mehreren hundert Stunden Arbeit und keinen 5’000 gefahrenen Kilometern ist der Wagen nun fertig und frisch als Veteran gepr\u00fcft. Einsteigen, losfahren, geniessen und dabei unendlich cool aussehen.<\/p>

Das Ford Modell A wurde in den Jahren 1928 bis 1931 gebaut. Dieser Typ l\u00f6ste das legend\u00e4re Model \u201eT\u201c, Tin Lizzy genannt ab. Der erste Model A wurde am 27. Oktober 1927 vorgestellt und lief am 2. Dezember 1927 mit vom Band. Es wurde auch in Europa, S\u00fcdamerika und in Lizenz in der Sowjetunion produziert.\u00a0<\/p>

Das Modell A wurde in vier Standardfarben ausgeliefert – aber nicht in Schwarz. Aus fertigungstechnischen Gr\u00fcnden waren aber die Kotfl\u00fcgel stets schwarz lackiert.<\/p>

Es gab eine ganze Reihe unterschiedlichen Karosserieformen und das Fahrgestell wurde so gebaut, dass s\u00e4mtliche angebotenen Karosserieformen darauf montiert werden konnten. Zu haben war das Modell A als Coup\u00e9 (Standard und Deluxe), Business-Coup\u00e9, Sport-Coup\u00e9, Roadster (Standard- und Deluxe), zwei- und viersitziges Cabriolet, Convertible Sedan, Phaeton (Standard und Deluxe), Tudor (Zweit\u00fcrer, Standard und Deluxe), Fordor (Viert\u00fcrer, zwei oder drei Fenster, Standard und Deluxe), Town Sedan, Victoria, Station-Lastwagen, Taxi, LKW und Commercial.<\/p>

The engine was a four-cylinder in-line engine with vertical valves, a displacement of 3236 cc, a single Zenith rising-flow carburetor and around 30 kW, i.e. 40 hp.<\/p>

Diese Pferdchen schoben das einfache Gef\u00e4hrt in Richtung 100 km\/h. Der Spritverbrauch lag dabei zwischen 8 und 9 Litern auf 100 Kilometer.<\/p>

Das Getriebe war ein unsynchronisiertes 3-Gang-Schieberadgetriebe mit R\u00fcckw\u00e4rtsgang. Das Model A hatte mechanisch bet\u00e4tigte Trommelbremsen mit Umlenkwellen und Bremsstangen. Wie der T hatte der A starre Deichselachsen (vorn geschoben) an Querblattfedern.<\/p>

Die Baujahre 1928\/1929 sowie 1930\/1931 sehen leicht unterschiedlich aus, sind technisch aber gr\u00f6sstenteils identisch. Eine der Modifikationen ab dem Jahr 1930 sind die R\u00e4der. So sind die Baujahre 1928\/29 mit 21 Zoll-Felgen ausger\u00fcstet, die Baujahre 1930\/31 mit 19 Zoll-Felgen.<\/p>

F\u00fcr einen Roadster musste man 385 Dollar hinbl\u00e4ttern und f\u00fcr den luxuri\u00f6sen, viert\u00fcrigen \u00abTown Sedan\u00bb wurden bis zu 570 Dollar f\u00e4llig.<\/p>

Die Produktion wurde nach 4’320\u2019446 gebauten Fahrzeugen am 31. August 1931 beendet. Das Modell A wurde durch ein aktualisiertes Modell ersetzt, das von Ford \u00abModel B\u00bb genannt wurde.<\/p>

– Henry Ford hatte seinen Zulieferern f\u00fcr die Antriebsmotoren eine bestimmte Gr\u00f6sse f\u00fcr die Transportkisten vorgeschrieben, damit er aus diesen die Bodenbretter f\u00fcr die Fahrzeuge herstellen konnte.<\/p>
