Die sechste Generation der Corvette, die C6, ist die erste Vette mit freistehenden Scheinwerfern seit der C1 und bietet deutliche Verbesserungen gegen\u00fcber dem Vorg\u00e4ngermodell, wodurch die durchaus alltagstaugliche Facetten bietet. Der \u00fcberarbeitete 6.0 liter V8-Motor liefert satte 404 PS und stemmt 546 Newtonmeter Drehmoment auf die Kurbelwelle. Die Corvette verf\u00fcgt \u00fcber ein \u00e4hnliches Traktionskontrollsystem (ESP) wie vergleichbare deutsche Sportwagen des Jahrgangs, es arbeitet aber weniger sensibel und greift sp\u00e4ter ein.<\/p>\n

Grosse, gut ablesbare Instrumente und eine einfache Bedienbarkeit kennzeichnen das Cockpit, wobei die Ablagef\u00e4cher das Nachsehen haben. Optional verbaut, ist das Head-up-Display, das einem zur Schadensbegrenzung immer die Geschwindigkeit vor Augen f\u00fchrt.<\/p>\n

Der Wagen kommt aus dritter Hand, ist sehr gepflegt und funktioniert tadellos. Zu all der Power hat dieses EU-Modell eine bessere Bremsanlage als die US-Version. Eine Fahrmaschine mit enormem Spassfaktor und genau das Richtige f\u00fcr ambitionierte PilotInnen.<\/p>

Die Corvette C6 wird nach ganzen 5 Jahren Entwicklungszeit im Jahr 2005 bei der \u00abDetroit North American International Auto Show\u00bb vorgestellt. Anschliessend dauerte es noch ein gutes Jahr, bis sie auf die Strassen kam, weshalb das 2006er Modell der C6 auch erst 2006 die ersten Kunden begl\u00fcckte.<\/p>

Bei Vorstellung 2005 wurde der neue Wagen herzlichst begr\u00fcsst und als die beste Corvette der Geschichte bezeichnet. Die wenigen Kritiker hielten sie schlicht f\u00fcr \u00abnicht neu genug\u00bb, was an der optischen \u00c4hnlichkeit mit der C5 und an der parallelen Produktion des luxuri\u00f6sen Cadillac XLR, der 2004 auf den Markt kam und sich ein paar Teile mit der C6 teilte, lag. Erst nach dem Beenden des XLR, konnte sich das Corvette-Team ganz der C6 widmen.<\/p>

Die C5 wurde oft f\u00fcr ihre Gr\u00f6sse kritisiert, da sie deutlich gr\u00f6sser als alle anderen erstklassigen Sportwagen war und f\u00fcr den Stadtverkehr eher nicht tauglich war. Kleiner und dadurch auch etwas g\u00fcnstiger und in Europ\u00e4ischen Markt einfacher zu verkaufen, sollte die n\u00e4chste Generation sein.<\/p>

Die C6 war tats\u00e4chlich kleiner als ihr Vorg\u00e4nger. Ganze 13 cm k\u00fcrzer und 2.5 cm schmaler war sie, wobei der Radabstand um 3 cm verl\u00e4ngert wurde. Gleichzeitig wurden auch die R\u00e4der um ein Zoll gr\u00f6sser, vorne wurden 18-Z\u00f6ller und hinten 19er montiert.<\/p>

Weiter erneuert wurden das Armaturenbrett und die Sitze mit einer nun besseren Polsterung und hervorragenden Seitenst\u00fctzen. Der Alu- und Metall-Look sollte dem Wagen einen modernen Touch verpassen. Die T\u00fcren wurden elektrisch verriegelt, im Fall eines Ausfalls gab es eine mechanische Bet\u00e4tigung, und neu war auch das ein Keyless-System.<\/p>

Aussen orientierte man sich an der Corvette C2 Sting Ray und f\u00fcr das Heck am YF-22 Jet Fighter. Weiter wurden die traditionellen vier R\u00fccklichter, welche wieder eine rundere Form erhielten, anstelle von den leicht eckigen der C5. Die Front-Scheinwerfer waren ein komplett neues Design und zum ersten Mal seit 1962 wurden keine Klapp-Schweinwerfer mehr benutzt. Zum einen, weil diese die Aerodynamik des Autos verschlechterten und zum anderen, weil freistehende Scheinwerfer schlicht leichter und g\u00fcnstiger waren.<\/p>

Der V8-Smallblock wurde komplett \u00fcberarbeitet, auf 5\u2019967 ccm Hubraum aufgebohrt und die Kompression von 10.1:1 auf 10.9:1 erh\u00f6ht. Die optimierte Luftansaugung sorgte f\u00fcr 15% mehr Luft, das Abgassystem wurde aus neuem Leichtmetall hergestellt und eine um 20% verbesserte Ausstr\u00f6mung. Dadurch wurde eine Leistungssteigerung von 50 PS erzielt, womit die die Standard-C6 nur 5 PS weniger hatte als die ZR1-Ausf\u00fchrung des Vorg\u00e4ngermodells. Der LS2 wog aber dank neuer Wasserpumpe und Alu-\u00d6lwanne knapp 7 kg weniger. Das Chassis wurde von der C5 \u00fcbernommen und rundum verst\u00e4rkt, wodurch der Wagen deutlich angenehmer zu man\u00f6vrieren war.<\/p>

Und nun der Knaller: Dank besserer Qualit\u00e4t und 125 Dollar g\u00fcnstigerem Preis als beim Coupe der C5, bot die C6 ein exzellentes Preis-Leistungsverh\u00e4ltnis. Sie wurde 2005 die Liste der 10 besten Autos des Jahres von der US-Zeitschrift \u00abCar and Driver\u00bb gew\u00e4hlt. Dar\u00fcber hinaus schrieb die US-Zeitschrift \u00abRoad & Track\u00bb: „Die C6 hat keine richtigen Schwachpunkte und viele St\u00e4rken. Sie besitzt Weltklasse Leistung, ein hohes Komfort-Level und sie ist fast zum halben Preis eines Porsche Carrera S zu haben“.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t
