The prep-cleaning fluid is always necessary if the cooling system has already been filled with water. This fluid is used to clean the cooling system and is used before the actual coolant is filled in. The prep-cleaning fluid is hygroscopic and binds the remaining water in the system and flushes it out. It is used after the water has been removed from the system as far as possible. After draining the cooling system, fill it up completely with the Prep cleaning fluid to remove any water residue. Only after this measure do you get the maximum benefit from Evans coolant.

Attention: Allow the engine to run at operating temperature (approx. 1 hour) with filled Prep cleaning fluid before draining the Prep cleaning fluid and then filling with Evans coolant.
